Safe and Sound Protocol

Trouble with anxiety? Sensitive to loud or certain sounds? Avoid social communication?

The Safe and Sound Protocol can help! Specially filtered music - listening 1 hour per day for 5 consecutive days - can reduce overall anxiety, hyper-vigilance and more. Take the MFA and schedule an appointment to review the results and see if the SSP is right for you or your loved one.

Total Focus Program

The Focus Program is an active and fun process for opening up pathways in the brain for better connection, communication and overall functioning. It can improve sensory processing, focus, emotion regulation and more. The focus program often follows the SSP.  The focus program is 1 hour of listening and special activities to engage different sensory pathways and cross midline of the brain (15-20 minutes of the hour) 3 times per week - for an average of 3-6 months. The MFA will give us direction on which areas need the most pathways - and chart a path for taming the tiger.
Zones of Regulation helpful for SPD and ASD in Richmond

Zones of Regulation

The Zones of Regulation is a group curriculum created by Leah Kuypers to help children with regulating their emotions. The curriculum is used during the Total Focus Program and also is offered as a group - either in our office or in community/school settings.  Especially helpful for those with ASD, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental issues.

"The Zones" uses 4 colors to help children learn about and regulate their moods and states of alertness. It provides a great framework and communication tool for improving self-regulation.  Join a group or schedule your own today
